Unboxing “The Lost and the Damned,” by Guy Haley

A photo of plain cardboard book packaging, featuring Black Library branding printed in black
Black tissue paper wrapped around a book. The wrapping is secured with a sticker featuring a design evocative of a spiked collar containing a fanged maw.
A red leather book cover, featuring embossing and a metal badge of the same design as was on the sticker. The title, The Lost and the Damned, and author name, Guy Haley, are picked out in gold lettering
The double-page spread of the inner cover. It features a sepia toned illustration of the angel-winged Primarch, Sanguinius, standing sentinel behind a trench of conscripted Imperial soldiers. Sanguinius carries a spear and sword, and appears to be haloed by a soft light against dark skies
An inside page, featuring the book title and author name, and numbers to indicate this is book 496 out of the 2500 of this edition that were printed. Across the page is the author's signature.
A orthographic map of the Imperial Palace, in a hand-drawn style. It shows the general layout of the surrounding area. There is a callout which shows the Helios Gate area in more detail

The Lost and the Damned is the follow up to The Solar War, and second book in the eight-part The Siege of Terra series. The collector’s Edition is every bit as gorgeous as the first book. I can’t wait to get stuck in!
